The former Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford, “appreciates” his football since his move to the Premier League Aston Villa club on loan. Rashford scored its first two goals for its new club on Sunday while Villa won 3-0 against the second level Preston North End team to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
Rashford, who scored 138 goals in 426 appearances for his United City Club United, was forced to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window after falling with the current manager of the Red Devils Ruben Amorim.
While Murim has questioned the work ethics of Rashford, the 27 -year -old England striker said that he “becomes more fit and better” at Villa. During a frank press conference, Amorim had also said that he prefers to put a goalkeeper coach on the bench that a player not giving everything.
“It is a great feeling. It is always pleasant for an attacker to get a goal, so I hope it continues,” Rashford told the BBC after marking a second half’s splint on Sunday.
Rashford, who scored four first league goals in 15 appearances for United this season, appeared for the last time for his parent club in December.
“I have the impression of becoming more fit and playing better football since I was here. I missed a lot of football before joining them. My body feels good and I appreciate my football for the moment,” added Rashford.
