Former Cuomo official Ana Almanzar named deputy mayor of New York

Ana Almanzar, who worked as chief of staff at Cuomo’s nonprofit unit between 2014 and 2020, was officially named as one of Adams’ top aides at a press conference at the hotel. town Friday morning.

Prior to assuming the role in Adams’ administration, Almanzar most recently worked for the Big Apple’s Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.

Before that, she worked for Cuomo’s director of nonprofits in New York.

“I bring with me many years of experience in the private, public, non-profit and philanthropic sectors, which have prepared me to take on the role of Deputy Mayor for Strategic Initiatives with great enthusiasm” , Almanzar said.
