Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel drops major hint about his future amid Manchester United rumors
Thomas Tuchel has dropped a major clue about where his future could lie.
It has already been announced that he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and it appears that potential suitors are being lined up.
Bayern missed out on the Bundesliga title against a Bayer Leverkusen side who remain undefeated this season.
However, he can still win the Champions League and will face Real Madrid in the semi-final second leg on Wednesday, live on talkSPORT.
Even if he wins the Champions League, he is unlikely to be at Bayern next season.
Tuchel told TNT Sports: “It is very, very, very unlikely that it will be at Bayern, I have to say, because we have an agreement, there is at the moment no reason to doubt this agreement.
“We took this position, the initiative came from the club, and that’s how it is and that suits me.
“I don’t need it for the extra percentage of competitiveness because I’m always up for winning, I’m always thinking about how to improve the team or how to improve as a coach.
“We are going all out. Does this have an influence on my position next season? Maybe not, maybe I’m on vacation no matter what, let’s see, let’s see.
Tuchel is heavily linked with Manchester United and has previously enjoyed success in the Premier League with Chelsea.
He won the Champions League in 2021, before being sacked in September 2022.
The 50-year-old has hinted a return to the Premier League could happen.
“It’s no secret that I loved it at Chelsea, I loved it in England and I loved it in the Premier League, for sure, it was a very, very special time and I remember it very well,” he added.
