Ford offers discounts on cars and trucks while car rates come into play

Ford Motor said on Thursday that he reduced prices on most of his vehicles at the same levels that he facilitated employees in order to stimulate sales, President Trump’s prices on imported cars.

The prices began on Thursday on vehicles imported from Mexico, Canada, Japan, Germany and other countries. Tasks – 25% of the value of the vehicle in most cases – should increase the prices of new cars and trucks and mitigate demand.

About half of the vehicles sold in the United States each year are produced in other countries. Mexico is the main source of these cars and Canada is among the most important. The new Ford program, which the company calls “from America, for America”, could help reduce a large inventory of unsold cars. In February, Ford had more cars in inventory, as measured by the number of days it would take to sell them all that all brands except three – Jaguar, Mini and Dodge – according to Cox Automotive, a research company.

The new Ford discounts apply to all new 2024 and 2025 vehicles, with the exception of specialized versions of the Bronco Sport-Utility vehicle; The Mustang sports car; Super duty versions of the microphones in the F series; And some other models.

“Consumers will pay what we pay,” said Rob Kaffl, sales director and relations with US Ford dealerships, in a statement.

The automaker also said that it extended another incentive program in which buyers of new electric models obtained a domestic charger for free, as well as the cost of the installation. This offer is now valid until June 30.

Ford had more than 568,000 inventory vehicles at the end of March, up 8% compared to a year ago.
