A Queensland and State of Origin NRL star described as “high profile” has been charged with rape, according to reports.
9News Queensland reports the allegations were taken to police, with officers attending the player’s home as the investigation began.
A woman later made a formal complaint to police about the player, who is currently contracted to an NRL club in Queensland.
The latest bombshell comes ahead of the NRL’s Magic Round extravaganza in Brisbane, which will see all matches played in the city.
The games are sold out.
