“Very frustrating, we did not win with the domination and the chances that we had in the first half. We gave the ball of nothing.

Rice and Arteta were questioned about the goal of Bruno Fernandes with a free kick after the United midfielder said: “It helps the wall is about 15 meters back!”

The rules stipulate the wall must be at least 10 meters back.

“I haven’t seen the goal,” said Rice. “He had the impression that the ball flew over us at a low height. (The wall) felt far away. Anthony (Taylor) is the arbitrator, he makes this decision. ”

Arteta added: “Football is intended for smart street players, and if (Fernandes) did this and capitalized on this, it is smarter than us and the referee. It was a goal, so they took advantage of it. Football is for smart people.”
