The cheeky football “fan” who invaded the AAMI Park pitch during Tottenham’s training session in Melbourne has revealed what he shouted at Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League stars.

Calling himself “Melbournemennace” on TikTok, the man in question boldly decided to film himself illegally entering the arena on Tuesday night.

Security intervened before he approached the players – but not before the fervent Arsenal fan delivered a verbal insult that is sure to enrage Hotspur fans.

“Up the Gunners,” he could be heard exclaiming to Spurs defenders Emerson Royal and Micky van de Ven.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are based in North London and the hatred between the teams is legendary.

The fan also claimed he avoided a fine on a technicality because it was an open training session, not a competitive or exhibition match.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia it was up to the owners of AAMI Park – or Tottenham – to decide whether they wanted to pursue the matter.

At the MCG pitch on Wednesday evening, Postecoglou’s Spurs and Newcastle United played out a 1-1 draw in front of 78,419 supporters.

After losing 5-4 on penalties, many Tottenham players flew out on Wednesday evening for national team commitments or a well-deserved vacation.

“I thought it was a huge effort from the players, considering the journey we had to make to get here,” Postecoglou said.

“Many of them now have a few days off before the Euro (2024 in Germany) or the Copa America… and the others will have their respite.”

Postecoglou also indicated that he would quickly resume his activities before next season after a short break.

“It never really stops, that’s the reality,” he said.

“But I will have some free time. My family… we will go to Greece and disconnect for a few weeks.
