Flying drones over nude beaches, blocking traffic and chasing startled geese: how wannabe social media influencers are wreaking havoc on our idyllic British holiday paradises (but the seagulls are taking revenge!)

TikTokkers filming on a Cornish nudist beach and trying to kick a goose in a London park are among the latest social influencers to spark outrage.

The two male film crew who invaded Pedn Vounder’s privacy were also filmed flying a drone over the nudist beach after being ordered to stop blogging.

But a young woman promoting Whitby seafront was unstuck when her blog stunt backfired and a seagull went to the toilet on her head mid-filming.

The videos are the latest in a series of antics carried out by social media wannabes at some of Britain’s most popular getaways which have left locals furious. Earlier this month, MailOnline revealed how locals near the beauty spots were complaining about the impact of tourists with photos and videos showing piles of rubbish left behind and fights breaking out over issues including parking and queues.

Today bestselling children’s author GP Taylor, who lives in Whitby, said social influencers should be banned from the Yorkshire coast.

The furious local slammed “talentless bastards” who are “completely vacuous and who promote an unreal lifestyle.”

The writer adds: “They attract the wrong type of people: drunks who vomit in the street and think they can behave as they please. I was in London and saw a social influencer chasing geese in St James’ Park. His friends were taking videos and thought it was great fun to run around trying to kick a baby goose.

Cameras also descended on Pedn Vounder after footage of the nudist beach was posted on YouTube by a number of influencers.

Although the beach is highly regarded as a gem of the Cornish coast anyway, influencers have played up its links with the naturist community.

Naked people are not photographed, but a cameraman remarks: “There are naked people there, that’s why I point the camera the other way.”

In another video, from Yorkshire couple Aaron and Em, the man films himself walking along the beach chanting: “D***s D***s Everywhere Little One Here Little One There.” »

Later, they appear further up the beach and say, “We were just told not to film on the nudist beach, so we’re not going to film anymore except in the water.”

Yet in a later video, they are seen flying a drone over the beach and joking that the nudists are already out.

In another video, made by Yorkshire couple Aaron and Em, the man films himself walking along the beach chanting: “D***s D***s Everywhere Little One Here Little One There.”

He then sees a paddle board explode while leering “Trying to get big and hard on a nudist beach.”

Bestselling children’s author GP Taylor I witnessed the incident where the selfie taker was dive-bombed by the seagull. He said: “She was blocking traffic and pedestrians were taking a photo of her with Whitby in the background.

“Just as she was doing it in a white plastic mac, a seagull shit on her. Best thing that ever happened.

“Social media influencers are talentless bastards. No one should follow them because they are completely meaningless and promote an unreal lifestyle.

“All they do is put together shots that aren’t real and lie in their cameras. Whitby is beautiful in its own right and doesn’t need it.

“They attract the wrong type of people: drunks who vomit in the street and think they can behave however they want.

“I was in London and saw a social influencer chasing geese in St James’ Park. His friends were taking videos and thought it was great fun to run around trying to kick a baby goose.

“I told him if I caught him, what I would do to the goose. We also have a problem with influencers during Whitby Goth Week.

“A lot of goth women are dressed in exciting clothes and influencers are getting people to come watch Goth Watch.

‘It’s not correct. They should be able to dress however they want without people coming here to pervert them. Influencers are not doing the Yorkshire coast any good and should be discouraged from coming.

Many in the tourism industry believe that social influencers have gained a foothold in the staycation market during Covid.

Their blogs have been accused of attracting the wrong type of audience to traditional family stations, leading to problems with littering and anti-social behavior.

Patrick Holdsworth, a guide from the community further down the coast in Robin Hood Bay, said: “We’re lucky we’ve never attracted that kind of teenage market.

“So we haven’t really had that kind of problem with influencers. We tend to attract more walkers and visitors like that.

Unsavory scenes see influencers disrespecting monuments – including a woman who ran from security and touched the stones of Stonehenge.

Other influencers have filmed themselves signing their social media handles on beaches and climbing atop an abandoned tank.

A video showed a woman at the Stonehenge monument in Wiltshire touching the 13 meter high standing stones before being taken away.

Footage was also shared of a TikToker signing her internet name on a Cornish beach.

The TikTok user who uploaded the footage described her as a “bad tourist”, with comments in response including “The touching ban is to protect bioculture on the stones” and “Shouldn’t won’t she get a ticket or something?

Another clip was posted by a TikToker writing her online profile name Barbiana in the sand of a Cornish beach.

She told viewers: “I’m a city girl, don’t get me wrong, but look at this – you can’t beat that, it looks a bit like Greece.

“Of course I always had to sign my name before leaving the beach.”

A third revealed how cars were clogging up the area around Snowdonia in Wales, while there was also footage of people climbing onto an abandoned tank in the Peak District countryside in Derbyshire.

The Snowdonia video was posted by someone who told viewers: “I thought there were stupid people in the world and then there’s this: three rows of cars, the middle row completely locked. “

And images of the Ramshaw tank in the Peak District were shared by the Derbyshire Young Walkers group, who accompanied them with the caption: “Has anyone visited these three incredible hidden gems?! The Peak District is full of them!

The other two recommended attractions were a waterfall next to an aqueduct at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, and the hidden Druid Caves at Birchover.

The complaints from UK residents come as fed-up residents of Spain’s Canary Islands have also launched protests demanding a crackdown on British holidaymakers – with graffiti appearing on walls saying: ‘Tourists are going home’ .
