- As a Florida resident for over 25 years, I know what tourist hot spots deserve to be visited.
- I recommend going to St. Petersburg, to the Tortugas SEC National Park and the Panhandle beaches.
- However, I would skip places like International Drive in Orlando and South Beach in Miami.
The world’s renowned themed parks, breathtaking beaches and natural beauty are only a few of the many reasons why tourists flock to Florida each year.
After having lived in the Sunshine State for over 25 years, I explored almost all the major tourist spots. According to my experience, some are absolutely up to media threshing, but others are not worth your time or money.
Here are the six tourist attractions that deserve to be visited and the two that you may want to jump during your next trip to Florida.
In my opinion, Saint Petersburg is up to the media threw.

A dynamic city with an artistic and relaxed atmosphere, Saint Petersburg is a cultural hot spot on the Côte du Gulf de la Florida. The city center is filled with colorful murals, markets and excellent catering options.
I recommend visiting St. Pete Pier For beautiful views by the water and good restaurants. Plan to arrive at the end of the afternoon to catch the magnificent sunset.
The Harry Potter sorcerer world at Universal Orlando is really magical.
Veronica Croes
Whether you are an always or new fan in the magic of the Harry Potter universe, the level of immersion in the Orlando universal parks is like nothing else I have ever known.
Split between Alley Diagon in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in the adventure islands, the attractions give life to this magical world with incredible details.
To sip a butter with Harry Potter driving and the prohibited journey, there is magic at each turn. The Hogwarts Express connects the two lands, making park tickets to the full experience.
The Tortugas Dry National Park deserves a visit.

A hidden gem located about 70 miles west of Key West, the Tortugas Dry National Park is one of the most distant and most distant destinations in Florida.
It houses Jefferson, a fortified 19th century, surrounded by crystal clear waters which, is perfect for snorkeling in apnea.
The park is only accessible only in ferry or in seaplane, making it a real out -of -network getaway. I recommend reserving a ride on the Yankee Freedom III ferry or a place during a seaplane visit well in advance, because the space is rapidly fills up.
For a unique and artistic experience, see Wynwood Walls in Miami.

Wynwood Walls in Miami is a dynamic outdoor street museum that provides an explosion of color and creativity.
Located in the artistic district of Miami Wynwood, the region presents massive and changing murals created by artists from around the world.
Beyond the walls, you can find art galleries, shops and some of Miami’s most trendy restaurants.
I suggest having a drink at Panther Coffee or stopping for dinner in Bakan, known for its unique and authentic Mexican cuisine – some of which have insects.
Visit Everglades National Park for a taste on the wild side of Florida.

Everglades are more than a simple swamp – they are a massive and incredibly diverse ecosystem that houses alligators, lamantins and breathtaking bird species.
I recommend visiting the Everglades National Park for a visit to aeropositive. For a quieter experience, you can also go out on a kayak to explore the park closely.
The Panhandle beaches are absolutely magnificent.

The beaches of Florida Panhandle, especially Pensacola, Santa Rosa Beach and the picturesque 30a Stretch, have some of the sweetest and white sands that I have ever seen.
This area is perfect for those looking for a mixture of relaxation and outdoor pleasure.
Destiny, which houses emerald waters, is one of our family’s favorite destinations. I recommend visiting at the end of spring or early fall to enjoy hot weather without the summer crowd.
However, I recommend jumping International Drive in Orlando.

International Drive is a shopping and entertainment area in downtown Orlando. Although it houses some decent places like Icon Park and the Orlando Premium Outlets, many drive I feel like a tourist trap.
If you are in Orlando, I recommend that you go to Disney Springs instead to shop, eat and entertainment. You will have a taste of Disney Magic without the need for a park ticket.
In my opinion, there are better places in Miami than South Beach.

South Beach is an emblematic district in Miami, but unless you party, it can be more a headache than a strong moment. According to my experience, food and drinks are expensive, the beaches are crowded and parking can be difficult.
I think there are better beaches and neighborhoods in Miami which offer a more pleasant experience (especially if you travel with family or children).
For example, I recommend checking Out Crandon Park Beach for a more peaceful and picturesque experience of Miami.
