FKA Twigs announced on Friday evening (April 4) that it had to cancel the rest of its tour dates in April in North America due to “current visa problems”. The announcement affects its performance scheduled during weekends 1 and 2 in Coachella in Indio, California, later this month, as well as the ax ceremony of this weekend in Mexico City.
“I am devastated to share the news that due to current visa problems, I am unable to see through my dates of tour planned for the rest of April across North America, including the ceremony and Coachella,” announced Twigs via X (formerly Twitter). “It hurts me to say that because I am so excited to bring you a creation in which I shed my soul and I believe that it is among my strongest work and I know that these news have an impact on so many of you who have already made plans and spent money to see these shows.”
As for what fans of the United States can expect to see twigs happen again, she has promised that she “works to reprogram the dates affected as quickly as possible”.
“For shows, please refer to your point of purchase for more details and refund information,” continued his declaration. “Back to you all with more updates as soon as I have them – in the meantime, here are some of my favorite games from the show that we worked so hard to create.”
As part of her article, the interpreter shared four photos, in black and white and in a screaming red, from her tour dates through Europe so far, with the Eusexua tour which starts last month in Paris and continuing on dates in London, ending on March 22.
Brazilian pop star Anitta also abandoned Coachella last month, “for unexpected personal reasons”.
