A record of five school districts in Texas are now likely to replace their school board democratically elected with the latest version of school performance.

Connally, Lake Worth, Beaumont, Wichita Falls and Fort Worth Districts have all raised five consecutive notes of failure in one or more of his campuses, the threshold for the trigger for the action of the State, confirmed on Friday with Texas Tribune.

The tea commissioner Mike Morath has not yet made decisions about the future of these districts, the spokesman said. The state could also order underperformative schools to close instead of replacing school district councils.

The state has replaced the School Board of a District and Superintendent with a board of directors about 10 times since 2000.

The record number of risk districts of sanctions comes from three years of ratings published this year-the State has published school notes for the 2023-24 school year and the 2024-25 school year on Friday and 2022-23 years.

The decision of a state court of appeal last month erased the state to make the scores public, announcing a lower court decision which had linked the hands of the State to release the notes for years. A similar decision of the same high court released the state to release the notes for the 2022-23 school year in the spring.

The Primary School of Connally ISD and the Marilyn Miller Language Academy de la Marilyn Miller reached the state sanctions threshold when the evaluations have been published for the last school year.

After years of underperformance at the Kirby Middle School, Wichita Falls ISD closed campus and moved students to the Hirschi intermediate school. This alone will not be enough to prevent tea from entering.

At Fort Worth ISD, the leadership academy of Forest Oak Sixth Grade closed before TEA published its fifth note F. The district chiefs initially thought that they were not at risk of taking a takeover, but Morath declared in a letter that the closure does not delete them from a “compulsory” state action. A district spokesperson told Fort Worth’s report that he intended to appeal the note.

Schools have the possibility of concluding a partnership with a school network in Charter to avoid state sanctions. Beaumont ISD concluded such a partnership with the third future schools for one of its

Campus in difficulty, Fehl Price Elementary. For his second campus in difficulty, Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, the board of directors unanimously ordered its closure in 2024.

The Beaumont school district has already faced a state intervention. About ten years ago, the state intervened after a series of financial scandals. The districts only resumed local control in 2020.

More recently, tea has taken control of Houston Isd, the largest district of the state. His superintendent appointed by the State, Mike Miles, has undergone a controversial mandate – with an increase in the results of the tests which have been at the price of declines in registration and generalized staff.
