Chaos broke out in the NBA match on Sunday between the Strait Pistons and the Minnesota Timberwolves, leaving the match animated in disarray.
In shocking scenes, five players and two coaches were ejected from the confrontation when a violent mass fight broke out in the second quarter.
Detroit’s head coach lost JB Bickerstaff, the Isaiah Stewart center, striker Ron Holland II and goalkeeper Marcus Sasser.
Minnesota striker Naz Reid and goalkeeper Donte Divincenzo were also launched, with assistant coach Pablo Prigioni.
The skirmish started with 8:36 to do in half with the pistons at the top of 39-30. Stewart had received a technical fault a few moments earlier when he hit Divincenzo harshly after the whistle.
Then Holland was called to a fault while he slapped the ball from Reid’s hands near the baseline.

The two exchanged words, Divincenzo walked between them and caught the Holland jersey, and soon the 10 players on the field and several coaches were part of the fray.
While the players were separated, Bickerstaff and Prigioni were shouting and had to be separated by the team staff.
The whole scene took place just 20 feet from the new owner of Timberwolves, Alex Rodriguez, who walked from his headquarters by the court and seemed to ask for the help of a fan who was caught in the middle of the fray.
