Five people drowned after huge waves hit games of Australia at the start of Easter weekend.
Two others are missing off the coast of South New Wales and the States of Victoria.
On Saturday, a man’s body was found in the water near Tathra in the south of South New Wales. One day he came after a 58 -year -old fisherman and two other men were found dead in distinct incidents in the state.
The rescuers are looking for a man who was washed in the water near Sydney. Also Friday, a woman was drowned and a man was missing after their group was swept away in the sea in San Remo in Victoria.
“One of the women managed to return to the shore, but the other woman and the man could not do so,” said Victoria police.
Victoria Prime Minister Jacinta Allan said it had marked a “horrible start” at Easter weekend.
“My thoughts go to someone’s family who lost their lives in such tragic circumstances, and potentially there are more difficult news to come,” she said.
The eastern states of Australia have been beaten by dangerous waves.
The head of the SURF Life Saving Australia Surf Surf Surfing Organization Adam Weir advised vacationers to visit the patrolled beaches after their data showed that 630 people had drowned on the beaches populated in the last 10 years.
“But these coastal locations may have dangers, some you can see and some you cannot, that’s why we have simple advice: stop, look, stay alive.”
