First WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion crowned on WWE RAW

The first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion was crowned on the January 13 episode of WWE RAW.

On Monday’s episode of WWE AW, Dakota Kai faced Lyra Valkyria in the finals of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament. The two stars faced off in a hard-fought match. In the end, Valkyria hit the Nightwing for the victory and became the first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

With this victory, Lyra Valkyria won her first singles title on the main roster. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion.

Valkyria had previously defeated Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. She then defeated IYO SKY in the semi-finals of the tournament.
