First images emerge of Scottie Scheffler in prison as other inmates reveal how the world’s number one golfer behaved during his shock visit to the cells.

The first photos of Scottie Scheffler in jail have been released following his shocking arrest Friday morning.

While attempting to tee off at Valhalla for the second round of the PGA Championship, the world No. 1 was arrested following a misunderstanding with the officers.

Later that day, photos of Scheffler at the establishment were obtained by TMZ.

A fellow inmate appeared to take a selfie with the PGA Tour star while he spoke to officers.

TMZ also asked an individual detained with Scheffler about his behavior in custody, to which he responded, “He kept saying it was bulls*** that he was there.”

Scheffler later claimed that the arrest was the product of a misunderstanding

Scheffler was released a few hours later and started at 10:08 a.m. at Valhalla.

Staff members and officers were also allegedly struck by the golfer. According to TMZ’s source, prison staff and corrections officials have gotten a glimpse of Scheffler behind bars.

After an unexpected start to the morning, Scheffler was able to get out and make his 10:08 a.m. start. Scheffler birdied the first hole and shot a 5-under 66 at the championship.

It was revealed a fatal crash involving a pedestrian occurred outside the club at 5.09am. With the heavy traffic caused by the accident, Scheffler found himself caught in a misunderstanding, which led him to drag an officer with his vehicle.

Upon his release, Scheffler detailed the incident on his Instagram story.

“This morning, I was moving forward according to the instructions of the police,” he wrote. “It was a very chaotic situation, which is understandable given the tragic accident earlier, and there was a big misunderstanding about what I thought I was being asked to do.”

“I never intended to ignore any of the instructions. I hope to put that aside and focus on golf today.

Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving and failure to obey the signals of an officer directing traffic.

However, Kentucky prosecutors are expected to drop the charges.
