Orange County firefighters found a body in a Santa Ana home after putting out a fire Wednesday morning, April 3, authorities said.
Firefighters were called to the 2000 block of North Bush Street just before 2:55 a.m. and found a one-story home on fire, OCFA said. Agency video showed the house fully involved in fire coming from the roof and a rear entrance.
The house is just south of Highway 5 and one block east of Main Street. It was not immediately known if anyone else was inside the home when the fire broke out.
About 30 firefighters extinguished the blaze in less than 25 minutes, said Capt. Greg Barta of the Orange County Fire Department.
It was not immediately known if anyone else was inside the home when the fire broke out, or where in the home the body was found.
No additional information about the deceased was known.
The cause and origin of the fire were under investigation.
