The Kings of Los Angeles finished their five game trip with a victory, skating at a 4-2 victory against Carolina on Saturday evening in Raleigh.
Just a minute after the Hurricanes were canceled for a hand pass, the Caroline opened the scoring by striker Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Defender Vladislav Gavrikov defended a 2 rush well against 1, but the Hurricanes capitalized on the possession of the resulting offensive zone. Kotkaniemi, parked in front of the Kings net, obtained a deviation on a point shot from defender Sean Walker for the first goal of the match.
The Kings repelled the striker Phillip Danault, who equalized at the end of the first period. After what was a favorable -favorable call for clamping to the Kings Warren Foegele striker, the washer deflected on the way to Danault, who torn a slot shot, after the Caroline Frederik Anderson goalkeeper and for His fifth goal of the season and a 1- 1- 1 score after 20 minutes.
63 seconds after the start of the second period, the Kings scored again with Danault involved in the offensive. After defender Vladislav Gavrikov acquired the offensive zone in possession, he worked the washer in Danault under the goal line. Danault then fed the Trevor Moore striker in front of the net, where he connected his first goal since December 7 to put visitors to 2-1.
The Kings added an insurance objective at the end of the second period, thanks to an individual effort by Kevin Fiala. Fiala started the game with an implacable pursuit of its own area, which ends up eliminating the free washer from the offensive. Fiala then showed patience, while he skied all along the top of the fold, before he made his 17th goal of the season at home for a 3-1 lead.
After Kil Thomas almost made an advance of three goals at one end, Carolina went in the other direction and made a match of 3-2. Thomas seemed to be withdrawn on a partial escape, without appeal, before the Hurricanes quickly moved in transition, striker Eric Robinson marking on a stack.
Fiala added another important response objective, this to restore the advantage of two goals, putting the kings in advance 4-2. Pasant through the slit, Fiala led to the wrist of a dangerous area which beat Carolina Netmander Frederik Andersen Clean for the goal, his second of the evening, with striker Quinton Byfield collecting his second assist in the match.

Kevin Fiala
In the team, he finds a way to obtain the victory this evening
It was the mode of despair. From start to finish, I think we wanted to win. They took a big start, they were so likely at the beginning that I felt, but Darcy kept us in it. We have never abandoned. Right now, we just have to believe in ourselves, believe in the team, which we did and we got a big victory.
Seeing his teammates Phil Danault and Trevor Moore every burial
Yeah, it was great to see them score. It was just emotional on the bench. They were happy, we were happy, we were so pumped and I think it made us a lot of energy. I think all of our goals, we were so swollen and we had a boost certainly after each goal.
By recovering to the upper form after a disease in Florida
In Florida, the first match, I was sick and I did not feel at all good for these two games. I just drank a lot of water and with the day of leave yesterday, I feel much better.
Phillip Danault
In the team that sticks to this and obtains a great victory to close the trip
Large team team. The guards, the defense, the offensive, obviously feels really good. We had a difficult section there and it was definitely a big match for us …… we did not play badly, sometimes it is just a question of confidence and rebound. We stopped this section here because we kept our recipe, we continued to work hard, playing our game and that worked.
By obtaining two points this evening after not having seen the washer enter lately times
Yeah, I just played my game tonight. Different roommates sometimes, they bring a different energy and tonight was a good adjustment. We have played the last two or three games well, my line personally, and it did not come. Tonight we stayed with and it worked for us.
By obtaining two points this evening after not having seen the washer enter lately times
Yeah, it’s hot. In Florida, the last two days, he was sick, he was not himself and today he recovered and he was himself. It’s good to see Kevin like that.
Trevor Moore
Seeing the first hit the back of the net after returning from injury
It’s been a while. I injured myself and I came back, I did not find the net. Feels good to see one.
By being part of a night of four goals, after the recent offensive struggles
I am proud of us. I think that, if you have a team with not much character, they could move away from the match plan and move away from playing in defense when the rings have not entered. We didn’t do it. We played regularly, we did not have the goals and it is on us, well, but we played hard, played a good defense, and I am happy that we were rewarded this evening.
On the Phil Danault’s match this evening and recently
I thought Phil was playing really well and I thought it was great tonight, especially the first two periods I thought I had seen the ice so well. I love playing with Phil, so it’s an excellent example of (staying with the process and being rewarded).
