(Reuters) – The president of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve, Patrick Harker, did not comment on the prospects of the economy or monetary policy in remarks prepared for a discourse at a conference on innovation in financial technology on Thursday.
Harker rather argued that “given the pre -eminence of the federal system on the reserve in terms of financial stability and security, it is obvious that we should seek to become opinion leaders but leaders of thought and practice” in financial technological space.
