Fed Kashkari: Once inflation returns to 2%, the Fed will be able to reduce
Everyone at the Fed says the same thing, but the timelines differ. They all want to wait until inflation falls to 2%, but they have differing opinions on when that will happen.
I think what is ultimately important is that when growth stumbles, they translate that into falling inflation (perhaps a little late) and signal cuts.
Even though their predictions are different, they all depend on data.
