Father of the youngest hostages among three men who will be released on Saturday, says Hamas

The Palestinian armed group Hamas published the names of three hostages which it will indicate on Saturday under the cease-fire agreement with Israel.

They are Israelis of Offer Kalderon, 53, and Yarden Bibas, 34, and the American-Israeli Keith Siegel, 65.

Mr. Bibas is Kfir’s father, the youngest hostage who was 10 months old when he was kidnapped by Hamas. His wife Shiri and their other son Ariel, four years old, were also captured.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s office said ISRAEL had received the hostage list.

Israel will release another share of Palestinian prisoners in return.

He will mark the fourth exchange of such hostages for prisoners since the cease-fire came into force on January 19.

Some 251 hostages were taken by Hamas when he attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people.

The attack sparked a war that devastated Gaza. The 15 -month military offensive in Israel killed 47,460 Palestinians in the territory, according to the Ministry of Health managed by Gaza.

Ofer Kalderon and Yarden Bibas were taken by Nir Oz Hamas, while Keith Siegel was removed from Kfar Aza.

Mr. Bibas Shiri’s wife, and their two children, Ariel, now five years old, and KFIR, now two, have also been caught in captivity. Their fate is unknown.

Their release will bring the number of hostages released under the cease-fire agreement until 18.

The association of Palestinian prisoners claims that nine prisoners serving sentences for life and 81 split will be released on Saturday. Israel did not comment.

Four hundred Palestinian prisoners – ranging from those who are serving long sorrows for attacks and other attacks to teenagers detained without accusation – have so far been released in exchange.

Most returned to occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza, while many of the most serious offenders were expelled.

The most recent exchange, which took place on Thursday, demonstrated the precariousness of the arrangement. Israel has briefly delayed to let the prisoners go after being indignant by the way eight hostages were treated when they were released.

As seven of the eights were released in Khan Younis, Crowds of spectators – Many take photos with mobile phones – pushed As captives were led by armed men to Red Cross vehicles before being transferred to Israel.

The office of the Israeli Prime Minister later said that he had since received mediators “a commitment that a safe outing will be guaranteed for our hostages” which will not yet be released.
