Far left Tim Ryan pretends to be blue collar

JD Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis and Republican candidate for the United States Senate seat for Ohio, said Tuesday in the edition of the Breitbart Daily News podcast with host Alex Marlow that Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) is fraudulently portrayed as a “blue-collar Democrat” despite having joined the “far left” of the Democratic Party.

Vance pointed out that the media was trying to take advantage of Ryan’s political campaign by calling the Democrat a “blue-collar Democrat.”

“They’re definitely trying to make this guy something he’s not,” Vance said of the partisan and political media support for Ryan, marketed as news. “If you think about his story, he was elected congressman from Youngstown. … He was pro-life. He was pro-gun. It all stopped about 10, 12 years ago when he decided he had national ambitions.

Vance continued, “He became very socially progressive on all social issues, and in its last two years has really gone off the rails – proposed banning gas-powered cars, proposed Medicare for All, proposed debt-free or fee-free tuition. So issue after issue he really joined the far left of the party.

“You see it in his voting record,” he added, “[voting] hundred percent of the time with Nancy Pelosi, but the New York Times and the mainstream media is desperate to label this guy a blue collar Democrat because they know it will help him electorally in the state of Ohio.

He continued, “People really don’t buy it. … He’s strongest with the highly educated classic woke liberal demographic. He’s not really making waves with the working class. In fact, we’ll probably win his former congressional district in the Mahoning Valley this year.

Vance pointed to Ryan’s opposition to border security and defense of amnesty as an example of his Democratic opponent’s support for policies that hurt “working class” Americans.

“The border is one of the main ways the globalist elite in this country steals working class wages,” Vance said. “If you can’t get an American worker to do something at a given wage, why not import an underclass of foreign servants?”

He continued, “[Tim Ryan] voted for every amnesty package, for every visa extension package, and he voted many times against funding the border wall.

Vance recalled Ryan’s use of racial demagoguery in their recent debate, including derision of left-wing Americans as “racists” for desiring border security. He advised Republicans not to fear such accusations of bad faith.

“This is the attack that the far left uses to strip normal Americans of any say in their political process,” he said. “The reason we have a wide open southern border is because the media has gotten into people’s minds that it’s kind of racist to defend your own border. That’s why we’re constantly on the defensive at this This is why so many Republican politicians give in to this media pressure. The fact that Tim Ryan uses this line suggests what a fraud he is.
