(Reuters) – Honest Company, maker of personal care and baby products, announced on Tuesday that its founder, actress Jessica Alba, would step down as chief creative officer.
Alba, known for her roles in films such as “Fantastic Four,” “Honey” and “Good Luck Chuck,” founded the company in 2012 and it began trading on Nasdaq in 2021.
Honest said Alba, who is devoting his energies to “new projects,” would continue to provide support and leadership as a member of its board of directors.
Shares of the household products maker rose more than 2% in extended trading after the company also reaffirmed its full-year revenue forecast and adjusted core earnings guidance provided in March.
Honest had reported a surprise fourth-quarter profit in March, which it attributed to growth in its digital channel and benefits from price increases.
