Sports fans have jumped on what they think is a humiliating error by Shannon Sharpe in his announcement that he temporarily extends from the functions of ESPN.
Sharpe, 56, faces a rape trial of $ 50 million from an ex-girlfriend he met for the first time at the age of 19, while another woman now talked about Daily Mail about her allegations of sexual assault.
The sports analyst, triple winner of the Super Bowl as a player, denies the allegations and continued with his appearances provided for during the first ESPN taking this week, before publishing his declaration on Thursday that he temporarily departs.
But Sharpe’s announcement came via what seems to be a screenshot of an SMS that he was sent with the declaration already written for him. And the observers say he was supposed to share it as if he wrote him himself.
An answer to Sharpe’s announcement on X Read: “Shannon when your lawyer sent you a text, he probably didn’t mean to publish a screenshot. I guess he wanted you to copy it and go up it.
Another said, “Shannon, you are too old to be so stupid. You were supposed to copy this message and paste it on your social media so that people think you wrote it.
Fans have torn Shannon Sharpe for how he published his declaration on his ESPN future

“You publish a screenshot of what your lawyers / public relations teams have written is quite sloppy on your side.”
Another fan said: “Shannon Bro learns technology better. Do not just capture the text that your lawyer has sent you. Write it on Twitter or put it on an appropriate image.
Sharpe’s post said, “My declaration is found here and that is the truth. The relationship in question was 100% consensual. At this point, I choose to temporarily withdraw from my ESPN functions.
“I will devote this time to my family, and answer and face these false and disturbing allegations against me. I intend to return to ESPN at the start of the pre-season of the NFL.
“I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and continuous support that I have received from my family, fans, friends and colleagues.”
Shortly after having published his declaration on his ESPN work, the story of Sharpe “ Night Cap ” stood for life confirming that he will always be at the draft of the NFL.
But his place on the first catch had fallen under a meticulous examination, with his co-host Stephen A. Smith subtly distancing himself from the man he recruited to join him in the show in 2023.
Speaking of the scandal on his own YouTube program, Smith questioned some of the methods that Sharpe and his lawyer have taken.

The future of Sharpe in ESPN is under meticulous examination after the developments this week
“On the one hand, by going to the offensive to defend itself, I understand perfectly where Shannon Sharpe comes from,” said Smith.
“ On the other hand, when his legal team published the press release on X, they mentioned his name and revealed some of these explicit text messages, which was uncomfortable, and I do not know if it is a strategy that would work.
“I know, and I can tell you everything I talked about in Shannon, not in detail, but I told him, and he proclaims his innocence forcefully.”
