Erik ten Hag left fans stunned after claiming Manchester United deserved to beat Chelsea in their 4-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman was helpless as his side collapsed deep into injury time despite trailing by two goals to lead 3-2.

Boyhood Manchester United fan Cole Palmer was Chelsea’s hero – scoring a hat-trick on the night – the last in the tenth minute of added time.
The defeat leaves United’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League in disarray and Ten Hag under added pressure to retain his job next season.
Despite United recording a 12th league defeat this season, Ten Hag insisted his side deserved maximum points in west London.
“Yes, we started badly, kicking the ball and defending badly,” he said. TNT Sports.
“But you saw we were dominating the game and the way we played was brilliant – we deserved to win the game.
“But you can’t give it away like we did and we need to manage this game better.
“It’s a team performance, you can point to one of the players but it’s about team performance.
“When it gets chaotic you have to deal with it as a team and we made the wrong decisions and we didn’t help as a team.”

But not everyone agreed with the former Ajax boss’s assessment, with United supporters appearing confused by his comments.

A third added: “There is no such thing as merit in football. Either you take your chance or you don’t. When you don’t take your chances or do the right things defensively… you lose.
This supporter commented: “If you do your homework well, you don’t concede four goals.”
The result sees United 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with just ten games remaining.
Title-chasing Liverpool are Ten Hag’s next opponents and a defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday coupled with a Villa win against Brentford would almost certainly end United’s top four hopes.
