COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Ohio State fans braved the icy conditions to greet the Buckeyes as they returned to Columbus on Tuesday.
Fans got a close look at coach Ryan Day as he got off the team bus at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Day then answered a few questions from ABC 6 reporter Nick Viland.
Ohio State won its first national championship in 10 years Monday night, beating Notre Dame, 34-23, in Atlanta.
After the game, hundreds of OSU students rushed to Ohio Stadium to celebrate the big victory.
The celebration was monitored by OSU police throughout the night to ensure the safety of fans. Authorities released a statement encouraging students to celebrate responsibly.
So far, no incidents have led to school violations or criminal charges. University officials are expected to provide an update soon.
“We’re not crazy,” one fan said. “We love our Buckeyes.”
