Fan pirates who fell at 21 feet on the field speaks: “ all broken ”

The man who took a terrifying terrifying terraification on the ground of the PNC Park spoke for the first time since the incident on April 30.

Kavan Markwood told Triblive on Wednesday that he was going to “well” even if he had “broken everything” due to the fall.

“I can’t really sleep. I have a lot of back pain,” he said at the point of sale.

Markwood fell during the April 30 match between the pirates and the Cubs and stayed at the Allegheny General Hospital receiving treatment.

He told the point of sale that he would speak more of the whole situation after his release from the hospital in about a week.

“I think when I come home, I’m just going to put on ice on it,” said Markwood about his injuries.

The chief doctor of the Allegheny General Hospital, Dr. Allan Philp, told journalists on Wednesday that Markwood had “progressed well”.

“He is now at a time when he is out of the breathing machine, he is out of the intensive care unit, and is preparing to take the next step, which will be physiotherapy, rehabilitation,” said Philp, according to WTAE.

Markwood’s sister Taryn told the point of sale that he had started walking and that she expressed her gratitude for the response that the family had since obtained since.

“I am very grateful to have it again,” she said.

A new angle of the incident painted a clearer image of what had happened.

The new video, from a security camera inside the stadium, showed Markwood jumping in the air to celebrate a game and fall, hitting his abdomen on the balustrade and falling.

The match was delayed by 10 minutes while Markwood was treated and transported on the ground.

After the match, the president of the pirates, Bob Nutting, expressed his sadness with regard to the accident.

“We are all deeply saddened and really broken heart after the terrible accident that occurred last night,” he said in a statement. “It was one of the most difficult moments that many of us have ever known. We are devastated. Baseball hackers are a community, and our fans are like a family. In moments like these, we must meet, support each other and keep it as well as his loved ones in our prayers.

“We also want to thank and appreciate the efforts of the first stakeholders who rushed to his attention and provided him with compassionate care.”
