Family of Jeffrey Dahmer Victim Calls Ariana Grande ‘Sick’

Ariana Grande is facing backlash following her recent comments.

The mother of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims has said the singer must be “mentally ill” to have named the serial killer as her dream dinner date.

“To me it looks like she is mentally ill. It’s neither complicated nor funny to say that you wish you had dinner with him. It’s also not something you should say to young people, which she says she did,” Shirley Hughes, the mother of Anthony “Tony” Hughes, told TMZ on Thursday.

Tony, who was deaf and nonverbal, became one of Dahmer’s 17 victims after meeting him at a gay bar in 1991. He was 31 when he was drugged and killed at Dahmer’s home.

Shirley and Tony’s sister Barbara expressed similar sentiments, telling the outlet that Grande should be more careful with her words when thinking about the victims’ surviving loved ones.

Barbara went on to say that Grande’s comments only continued to glorify the killer, who was beaten to death in prison in 1994, and that she wanted the “Yes, And?” singer to apologize to send a message to her fans that her comments were unacceptable.

Earlier this month, Grande appeared on Penn Badgley’s podcast “Podcrushed” where she revealed that she was “in love with serial killers” growing up.

Recalling a question-and-answer session with some of her young fans, she recalled a young girl who asked her who she would like to have dinner with, dead or alive.

“I was like, ‘Oh, you’re so cute. Mom and Dad, can I give the real answer?’ And they were like, ‘Sure, what’s the answer?’ And I was like, ‘I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is pretty fascinating. I think I would have loved to meet him. You know, maybe with a third party or somebody involved. But I have questions,’” she recalled.

During her appearance on Penn Badgley’s “Podcrushed” podcast, Grande admitted that she was “passionate about serial killers” growing up.
Later in the episode, Grande admitted that she was “reprocessing” some of her Nickelodeon memories in light of the “Quiet on Set” documentary.

Later in the episode, Grande opened up about her time at Nickelodeon and admitted that she was “reprocessing” some of her memories as one of the stars of “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat” as she unpacked the hit documentary “Quiet on Set.”

“Specifically about our show, I think that was something that we were convinced was what was cool about us – that we pushed the boundaries with our humor,” he said. she declared.

“And the insinuations were… it was like, the cool distinction. And I don’t know, I think it all happened so quickly, and now, watching some of the clips again, I’m like, “Damn, really?” Oh, shit’…and the things that weren’t approved by the channel were slipped onto our website or whatever,” she continued, adding, “I guess I’m angry, yeah. »
