An entire city and school district are paralyzed and on the verge of bankruptcy due to political philosophy. It should be unknown in the 21st century.
However, we are there, the city of Oakland should eliminate the same thing that has destroyed it. The Oakland Unified School District could lack money by next year – sad. The district bleeds severely and has obviously been for some time. The two organizations need forensic audits and leadership drastic changes.
The current list of Oakland candidates will lead the city to reception. The state will take control of the OUSD more than probably. Liberal leadership killed both entities. The return to the same thing will not create a significant change.

A controversial ban on the homeless recently promulgated by the city of Fremont has aroused many criticisms of the city’s policy and communication strategy.
The city of Fremont Councilembers has lost control of the public account surrounding the prohibition, which makes justification difficult. The prohibition prohibits anyone from “allowing, helping, encouraging or concealing camping on private property”. The news of the controversial prohibition has spread far beyond the municipal borders, attracting a national and international examination in the United Kingdom, which questions the credibility of the city. Defenders of environmental and social justice have expressed their concern about the potential of the prohibition to move vulnerable populations in ecologically sensitive areas without approaching the deep causes of homelessness.
The Council needs an external legal examination to reassess its approach to create fair policies that treat the most vulnerable in our community. A participant in the recent council retirement summed it up: “The path to follow requires recognizing this misstep and going to thoughtful and balanced governance.”

Re: “PG & E customers face new rate increases” (page B1, March 3).
Surprise. PG & E again increases rates, according to news from today. This is simply insulting for customers, those of us who do not have the choice of shopping elsewhere because of the monopoly and the workforce of Pg & e.
Many people find a financial fight to simply buy milk, bread, eggs and cereals.
Suggestions to pg & e management to reduce your “expenses”:
• Stop disseminating expensive television advertisements designed to influence us to “feel love” and your “concern” for the environment and for us (your trapped consumers).
• Stop sending us shipowners “assessing” our net energy consumption compared to other houses. You have no idea because you assess us how many people live in “similar” houses or what their ages, their health conditions and their personal needs are. We don’t need to be classified as “just, good or big”. Try to apply this approach to your corporate conscience.
• Stop scandalous compensation for the best staff members.
Maybe we will “feel love”.

I fear that we have lost track of two very revealing declarations, not too recent concerning our current political situation.
The first, by Senator Lindsey Graham, “if you do not want to be re -elected, you are in the wrong deal”, underlines the attitude where convenience is prevailing on power and profit, demonstrated again in the recent support of Graham to Trump.
The second is the president of Fox Rupert Murdoch. When asked why he had kept advertisements with false comments in them in the air, he agreed that “it is neither red nor blue, he is green” (or more on the benefits than the truth).
The awareness and recognition that behavioral motivation for these politicians and businessmen is not informational, patriotic, nor for the common good of America, but it is simply a selfish disinformation, and to which all Americans must learn to pay attention.
This is even more important with Trump’s recent words and actions showing his alliance with the dictator Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin plays Donald Trump. Trump is wrong on the intentions of Ukraine and Putin. Consequently, Europe will be more vulnerable to Russian aggression and America will be less safe.
Trump says Putin will last for Ukraine. When the Soviet Union fell, Ukraine had a third of Russia’s nuclear weapons. In exchange for security guarantees, Ukraine has agreed to transfer them to Moscow. The 1994 Budapest Memorandum of Security Insurance guarantees the borders and political independence of Ukraine. It was signed by Russia, Ukraine and the United States.
Putin wants to restore the Russian Empire. Russia has invaded and occupied Georgia and Crimea. In February 2022, he invaded Ukraine.
Putin breaks treaties, lies and cannot trust. Trump blames Ukraine for the invasion of Russia and reflects Russian discussion points. Without Ukrainian security guarantee, we abandon Ukraine and our principles. Europe is more vulnerable to Russian attack. America is less safe.
Putin will not stop with Crimea, Georgia and Ukraine.
