Fallout is coming to Fortnite

In news that should surprise no one given the all-consuming nature of Fortnite, the post-apocalyptic RPG series Fallout will soon be appearing in the battle royale game.

Of course, Fallout is currently enjoying something of a renaissance thanks to Amazon’s recent live-action TV adaptation, making it a prime target for the popular vampire that is Fortnite.

A bit more information was shared in Fortnite itself; according to a caption under the same in-game image, Fortnite’s next season – officially titled Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked – would be “courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steel” when it begins on May 24. At this point, players can probably expect Fallout-themed skins, quests, and whatever else Epic can cook up, as everyone involved looks to capitalize on the recent success of the Bethesda series.

Fallout’s imminent arrival on Fortnite will follow the battle royale game’s recent collaborations with Star Wars – to celebrate May 4th – and pop star Billie Eilish. Among the entities least likely to appear in Fortnite in the coming months are the Dutch Consumer and Markets Authority – which fined Epic €1.1 million, accusing it of “commercial practices unfair targeting of children” – and rap star Doja Cat, who is not.
