Panic gripped a Delhi-Vadodara Air India flight at the national capital’s IGI airport after a crew member spotted a tissue paper with the word ‘bomb’ written on it in the plane’s toilet, police said Thursday.
The flight was searched after the note was found Wednesday evening, but nothing suspicious was found, a police officer said.
He said the plane was ready to take off when the crew member spotted the tissue paper at 7 p.m.
The officer said the Central Industrial Security Force and Delhi Police were informed and the passengers were asked to get off the flight.
The plane was thoroughly inspected but nothing was found, he said, adding that the passengers then left for their destination on another plane.
