Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter is back with another episode of his Podcast Pachter Factor, and he brings interesting news: Fairgame $ could have been canceled.
While discussing Sony Switch to live service games, which he criticized due to bad movements such as the purchase of Bungie for much more than they were worth in his opinion, the analyst declared with casualness that Jade Raymond had been released and his game, entitled Fairgame $, canceled.
Sony said: “Oh, we need part of this”, except that they bought Bungie to do so. “Bungie made halo. They are obviously very talented. They made fate. Fate was not good. Which has 1.5 billion in income.
The departure of Raymond from Haven Studio (which she founded in 2021) was officially announced in May, but we only learned that the game had been delayed from 2025 to 2026. Fairgame $ was described as a “ competitive breakdown ” in development for PlayStation 5 and PC. Needless to say, if this cancellation should be confirmed, it would be another blow for the foray for Sony in the live services category, after the CONCRY AND THE Last of us online.
In his episode of Podcast, Pachter directly attacked Sony, arguing that they have lost their way and that “no longer know what they are doing”.
They are bad managers. They don’t know what they are doing. They should do what they are good and they should buy what they are not good. And so buying what you are not good means that you do not buy Bungie, because Bungie makes console games. Sony is good in this area. Buy King, Buy Zinga, Buy Supercell, buy cutting -off games, buy someone who knows how to make free live games. Buy a reappearance. We did not know that Vince Zampella could do it, but he did it. But no, I think Sony has lost its way.

For his part, Sony recently recognized that his live service efforts did not go well, but he also promised to learn from his mistakes.
