EXCLUSIVE: Even if Denis Villeneuve puts the final touch on the script for the next episode of Dune Franchise, the director already targets a new addition to all the stars. Although sources close to the project say that no official offer has been presented, Deadline hears that there is a strong interest for Robert Pattinson to join the cast. The legendary had no comments.
The film already presents an A-List set which includes Timothee Chalamet, Florence Pugh and Zendaya, and many should come back. Even a handful of new roles remain and, as for everything Dune Project, the stars queue at the opportunity to appear in the Oscar -winning franchise.
Although confirmed, sources say that Pattinson would play the role of scytal villain.
As Deadline previously reported, the plan is to shoot the film this summer. Villeneuve returns directly.
Dune is a vast universe of Legendary multi-format science fiction-based on the awarded novel series by Frank Hugo Award by Frank Hugo. He currently turns the adaptation of Christopher Nolan to The Odyssey. He also produces the film A24 Prime time.
Pattinson is replaced by WME, 3 Entertainment, Curtis Brown Group and lawyer Robert Offer.
