We are not very far from the Classic Javelin Neeraj Chopra throwing competition, because the event was confirmed on May 24, 2025 at the Tau Devi Lal stadium in Panchkula, Haryana. The event which was appointed NC Classic was confirmed by World Athletics.
It will be a day’s javelin launch event and has been classified as a category event “A” World Athletics “which is equal to a golden level competition on the continental tour in the classification points. Launched in 2020 as a successor to the World Series Challenge, The Continental Tour is a global athletics circuit of second level below the Diamond League. It includes four levels: gold, silver, bronze and challenger.

Double Olympic medalist and reigning javelin champion, Neeraj Chopra will be the star attraction of the competition. The NC Classic will also see the best javelin launchers from around the world coming to India for the first time.
In addition to the competition, Neeraj is also part of the organizing committee and had previously talked about the reception of the event which will serve as inspiration for Indian athletes.
“It was a long -standing dream to organize and organize a world -class javelin competition in India,” said Neeraj. “I am sure that my athlete colleagues and fans in India will both create an experience that we have been talking about for a long time. I am delighted to see how much we can do this. ”
It will be the first time that Neeraj will have participated in the house since the 2024 Federation Cup in Bhubaneswar.
The NC Classic 2025 will also be one of the qualification events for the 2025 world athletics championships in Tokyo. Neeraj has already qualified for the September event.
