Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are preparing to organize the wedding of the year – or perhaps even the century.
After months of speculation, the mayor of Venice confirmed at the end of March that the billionaire and his future wife should marry inside the borders of the Italian city this summer.
The ceremony will take place more than six years after the couple is made public with their relationship in January 2019.

Hundreds of invitations and a luxury destination
Bezos, 61, and Sánchez, 55, have not yet shared details on their upcoming wedding. However, other parties involved have done so.
The mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, published on Saturday a statement saying that the city would host the wedding to come.
He told Times that Venice had won the couple’s affection – they considered several destinations – with the help of Dolce & Gabbana, Domenico Dolce.
Local officials also said that four luxury hotels and a water taxi fleet had been rented for the occasion, Times reported.

The founder of Amazon and his fiancée invited around 200 guests, according to Brugnaro’s declaration. This list included Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump and Bill Gates, among other celebrities and billionaires.
However, Brugnaro said Venice is equipped to manage the starry ceremony and has “experience in international events much greater than that”.
“The organization (Bezos and the guests) categorically did not reserve large quantities of gondolas or an excessive number of water taxis,” he said. “It is their maximum priority to ensure that the city works as normal, for everyone, without abnormal disturbance for anyone.”
The couple was previously surrounded by rumors that they organized a winter wedding of $ 600 million in Aspen last year until Bezos closed speculation on X.
Italian publications later said that they would get married on the $ 500 million Bezos yacht in the region, although the Daily Mail reported that the rumor was false.

Page Six reported that wedding invitations have been officially sent and that the couple’s holding is now underway.
This weekend, photos of Bezos and Sánchez visiting a Dolce & Gabbana store in Milan were published. Leaving the store, members of their group were seen wearing bags of white clothes.
There are also rumors that Sánchez’s wedding dress will be designed by Oscar de la Renta, the same designer who created his dress Met Gala 2024.
The story of Bezos and Sánchez
The couple would have connected during a feast of Amazon studios for the film “Manchester by the Sea” in 2016 when they were both married to other people.
In 2018, they reconnected professionally when Bezos hired the Sánchez air filming company to work with Blue Origin.
Bezos and his ex-wife, Mackenzie Scott, announced their divorce on January 9, 2019, and his relationship with Sánchez was announced a few hours later.
The couple confirmed their commitment in May 2023 and attended major events such as White House dinners and the first films since.
