The director of Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postcoglou, publicly expressed her frustration in the face of what he calls a persistent flight of internal information, in particular the news of injuries and team selections. During a press conference tense after the 1-1 Europa League spurs draw in the first stage against Eintracht Francfurt, Postoccolou confirmed that there was a mole inside the club in northern London.
What is the controversy of Tottenham’s flight is talking about?
The controversy surrounds repeated leaks from the team news, including injuries updates, appearing on social networks well before being officially confirmed. More recently, the absence of Wilson Odobert from the XI of Tottenham was released online for hours before the publication of the team sheet for the Equality of the Europa League.
Odobert, which would have a problem with the hamstrings, was finally appointed to the bench but did not play. It is not an isolated incident. Postcoglou revealed that the problem dates back to last season and continued despite the attempts to close it.
What said Angel Postcoglou?
Postcoglou did not retain his criticism from the flight and the impact he has on his work. He confirmed that the club had reduced the source and that internal measures are taken.
“There is no doubt that we have a leak inside the club. Someone continues to flee information and they have all year round. I don’t know why, that makes our job even more difficult. You don’t want to help the opposition,” he said.
“We have reduced it. I have a good idea where it comes from. We are going to face it. They are certainly not agents. The language used in leaks is not the way agents speak. And these are not the players either. ”
“Sometimes players do not want their medical information to be disclosed, it is as simple as that. The fact that it comes out is unacceptable. It does not help the team, and it certainly does not help individuals,” added Postcoglou.
Angel becomes detective
In a lighter moment in the middle of the serious accusations, Postcoglou joked the fact that he had passed into “Jack Reacher” mode, referring to the hero of fictitious action known for his investigation skills, to retrace the source of the leak.
“There is always a little detective work in football management. I think it is a cultural thing. I am very important to create a culture of success and I do not think that successful organizations behave in this way.”

Postcoglou insists that the question will be dealt with internally, but the problem added to the growing pressure on the 59 -year -old coach.
“We will deal with it. As you treat anything. You do the right thing and manag,” he concluded.
