The president of the Ysr congress party and former chief minister Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy on the next visit to Papiredypalli in Ramagiri Mandal – considered to be the bastion of the Paritala family – has taken serious political connotations.
The visit is intended to console the family activist K Lingamaiah party, who was killed during a recent confrontation in the village. However, the situation increased politically after the YSR Congress accused TDP supporters of being behind the murder.
Lingamaiah was beaten to death during a confrontation between two families, but YSRCP leaders claim that the incident was politically motivated. The party in charge T Prakash Reddy directly accused the MP for Rapthadu Paritala Sunitha of having caused violence.
As the reports suggest that Jagan Mohan Reddy will be accompanied by thousands of supporters of the former anantapur district, the police are on alert.
The authorization was granted to Jagan to land by helicopter near the village of Nyamaddala, about three kilometers from Papireddypalli.
The district of Satya Sai SP V Rathna asked the YSRCP to limit the number of people accompanying Jagan during his visit.
“Strict measures will be taken against any violation,” she warned.
Meanwhile, TDP chief Paritala Sunitha said that neither the government nor his party are opposed to Jagan’s visit.
However, she urged him to make no provocative remarks, stressing that the question stems from a personal quarrel between two families, not from political rivalry.
In preparation for the visit, additional police forces were deployed in Ramagiri Mandal and along the route to Papireddypalli to avoid any unfortunate incident.
