The situation was definitely much worse an hour ago. We even see US futures gradually paring back some of the earlier losses, with S&P 500 futures down just 0.5%. Earlier, S&P 500 futures were down 1.7% on the day. In the foreign exchange market, we also see the dollar largely paring its gains. EUR/USD is stable at 1.0645 while AUD/USD is down just 0.1% at 0.6413 currently.
