European indices close lower on this day

Traders in London/Europe are turning their attention to the exits, with the major indices all down sharply today. Closing levels show:

As European traders look to exit, U.S. stocks are trading off record lows. However, the S&P and NASDAQ indexes are still down on this day.

  • Dow Industrial Average +130 points or 0.34% to 37862.67. The low price reached 37749.78. UnitedHealth keeps the Dow rising. It is up $27 or 6.01% in today’s trading.
  • S&P Index -5.95 points or -0.11% to 5057. The low price reached 5040.88.
  • NASDAQ Index -16 points or -0.10% to 15869. Low reached 15824.34

The small-cap Russell 2000 index is trading down -8.74 points or -0.44% at 1966.97.

Crude oil prices are trading up eight cents or 0.11% at $85.50.

Bitcoin remains under pressure and is now trading below $62,000 to $61,942. The 38.2% retracement of the rise from the 2024 low stands at $60,314.
