ESCONDIDO —
Escondido police are investigating after a person was fatally stabbed in a residential neighborhood on the city’s northeast side Monday evening.
Someone called police shortly before 9 p.m. to report a person on Wanek Road near Valley Parkway, police Lt. Janice Kuehn said. The victim was reportedly stabbed.
Emergency services transported the victim to hospital, where he died. Kuehn said the victim was a male, but it was not immediately clear whether he was a juvenile or an adult.
