Eric Bolling leaves Newsmax after three years of activity

Eric Bolling is leaving Newsmax after three years with the network.

“After working together for three years producing, presenting and delivering news to the American people, it is time for Eric to embark on new projects,” said a statement posted on Bolling’s website. “Eric and Newsmax are grateful for their time together and proud of the work they have produced.”

Bolling’s show at 8 p.m. ET Eric Bolling The Libra was one of Newsmax’s most-watched shows, averaging 311,000 viewers last month, according to Nielsen.

Newsmax said it was mutual agreement with Bolling to end his show. Starting Monday, Newsmax will air its Prime News with rotating hosts until a permanent successor in the time slot is named.

“Newsmax wishes Eric Bolling good luck in his future endeavors,” the network said. “The network looks forward to exciting times this election season, which will include our nightly news coverage with Greta Van Susteren, Rob Schmitt, Greg Kelly and Chris Plante.

Bolling did not say what his next move will be, but the statement said: “The fight to inform the American people will remain paramount for Eric as he takes his audience on a new path with new partners.” He will continue to navigate the ever-changing news media landscape with the same commanding voice and presence, providing his devoted audience with insight they won’t find anywhere else.

Prior to Newsmax, Bolling worked at Sinclair Broadcast Group and Fox News.
