Ben Johnson continues to progress towards the realization of his staff, because the Bears de Chicago will keep the tight coach Jim Dray and hire Eric Bieeniemy to supervise the runners, sources said in the gallery.
Bieeniemy returns to the NFL after being an attacking coordinator and assistant head coach at the UCLA last fall. He had a one-year race as an offensive coordinator of Washington commanders in 2023. Bieeniemy was the 2018-22 Kansas City Chiefnsal Coordinator, taking this position after Matt Nagy left the Chiefs to become the ‘Bears head coach. Bieeniemy resulted in runners for Andy Reid at Kansas City from 2013-17, so managing director Ryan Polon knows him well.
At one point, Bieeniemy, 55, was considered a potential head coach in the NFL. He was one of two Super Bowl champion teams in Kansas City and also experienced running back trainers for the Minnesota Vikings.
Dray would be the only job coach for Matt Eberflus staff who will remain. He has been with the Bears since 2022 and it believes that it is an interesting off -season for the position. The Bears seem little likely to bring the Mercedes Lewis and there is a good chance that the club will release Gerald Everett, who was signed on the basis of the influence of former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

The Bears believed in the tight development of Cole Kmet under Dray to sign it to an extension of $ 50 million over four years. Now, the team hopes that the position will be able to deliver more for the offense in 2025.
The only offensive position coach who remains to be hired is an offensive line coach and Johnson seems to take his time. The team interviewed Justin Frye, coach of the Ohio State offensive line, and he was hired on Saturday by the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears also interviewed the trainer of the Tulane offensive line, Dan Roushar, who had a 10 -year race in the NFL with the New Orleans. If there is no movement soon, another university coaching candidate could emerge.
Johnson moved quickly to fill the coordinator’s positions, hire Declan Doyle (offense) and Dennis Allen (Defense) and keep Richard Hightower for special teams. In attack, Johnson added the coaches Antwaan Randle El (wide receptors), JT Barrett (quarter-back) and the Taylor press (coordinator of the passage game).
Al Harris was hired as a secondary coach. Bill Johnson has been hired as principal assistant and will probably be involved in the defensive line. The team still has to hire defensive line coaches and seconds.
