Enzo Maresca said that his Chelsea players had the status that deserves to play in the Champions League next season.
The Blues had their hopes for qualifying in the Champions League bumpy by a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle last weekend while they are fighting for a top-five in a tight final in the Premier League season.
He ended five consecutive victories in all competitions for Chelsea, keeping the Maresca team in fifth place and above Aston Villa on the difference in goals only while Newcastle raised Manchester City in third. The Nottingham forest is just hiding a point behind.
Before their penultimate championship match against Manchester United today, Maresca said: “Absolutely, Cole (Palmer) is not the only one in terms of players who deserve (the Champions League). I think Moises (Caicedo) is also a player who deserves the Champions League.
“Enzo Fernandez deserves the Champions League. Levi Colwill deserves the Champions League and that’s why we went there (in the top five) and we will try to finish there because we have many players who, in terms of status, they deserve to play in the Champions League.
Maresca has also promised to review the club’s disciplinary problem in summer after receiving the most yellow cards so far this season.

Chelsea received 96 yellow cards in the league, which puts them in first place, with the other five clubs on at least 25 less reservations than Maresca men.
“Against Newcastle, it was our first red card of the season,” he said.
“This is probably also the way we try to be intense, aggressive. This is a good question that we must probably analyze during the summer when we have a few days off and see if there is something that we can do better.
Nicolas Jackson’s red card for a forearm in the face of Sven Botman against Newcastle last weekend earned him an automatic ban on three games.
This means that it will miss the visit of Man United TODAY and Chelsea’s trip to Nottingham Forest on the last day of the season.
On Jackson’s red card, Maresca added: “Nico is intelligent enough to recognize that there was an error, an error.
“For me, this is not a question of age because regardless of the age you have, if you make a mistake, it’s ok because we all make mistakes, but if you make the same mistake, it’s probably not the best thing.”
