English traitor fighting for Putin’s forces in Ukraine reveals he was granted Russian citizenship: Thug who vowed to put kyiv’s troops ‘in wooden boxes’ brandishes new passport in video before ‘condemning ” Great Britain

A British traitor who joined the Russian army in Ukraine to help Putin in his bloody, unprovoked war claims to have been granted Russian citizenship.

Aiden Minnis, 37, from Chippenham, fled to take up arms for the Russian tyrant when war broke out in 2022, alongside Ben Stimson, 48, from Oldham. They fought alongside Kremlin forces in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Donbass regions.

Minnis, a former member of the far-right National Front, proudly declared he ‘hates’ the UK and previously called Britain a ‘fascist state’ just weeks after Putin won an election simulated in Russia where his opponents were dead or imprisoned.

Today, Minnis, also convicted of a racist attack, pledged allegiance to Russia and its dictator, proudly showing off a video of his Russian passport.

“I have a Russian passport. I am now Russian,” he said.

“I’m relieved because now I know I’m safe, safe from prosecution in the UK, safe from false and misleading accusations simply because I want to come and fight for Russia and fight for a just cause and for the people of Donbass.”

He undoubtedly gained citizenship of the country because Putin’s friends view him as a useful propaganda tool.

The passport he held up on camera is an internal identity document that is not valid for traveling abroad. This means his new nationality will not save him from prosecution and prison in Britain, nor from extradition to the UK should he ever return to the West.

Previously, he pledged to continue putting killed Ukrainians and English mercenaries “in wooden boxes.”

In his most recent video, he repeated his hatred for the United Kingdom and his joy at seeing his new passport making him “officially Russian”.

“Of course I’m happy,” said Minnis, who says she found love in Russia. “I am starting a new life in Russia. I am now Russian. I am happy to be Russian. I reiterate that I condemn my country or my origin.

“I hate what they did to the people of Donbas, to Russia, and what they continue to do.” And I can’t wait to start a new life.

Minnis added that he expects Putin’s army to immediately send him to the front.

“After my vacation, I’m going to join an assault battalion. So things are going to get more difficult for me,” he said. “I know it’s dangerous. War is dangerous.

The video was created by Readovka, propaganda media linked to the Kremlin.

The agency was involved, alongside Putin-supporting politicians in Russia’s Udmurtia republic – where the Kalashnikov weapons factory is located – to gain citizenship at breakneck speed.

Former drug addict Minnis, who said Putin was “still the greatest politician in the world”, visited Ukraine in January and calls himself a “Z Patriot” and a “sapper of the Russian army”.

Back home, he was disowned by his family who claimed they “wanted nothing to do with him.”

A British government spokesperson said earlier of the case: “Reports of British nationals taking part in an illegal invasion are shocking and their alleged actions are reprehensible.

“Those who travel from the UK to conflict zones to engage in illegal activities should expect to be investigated on their return.”

“I still haven’t received my papers,” he said. “I still have three weeks left on my visa, so I’m out of time.”

Previously imprisoned in Britain for committing terrorist acts, Stimpson previously said he had been granted “political asylum” in Russia.

Stimson had earlier boasted about how he felt “a hero and a minor celebrity” in Russia, asking: “Why should I come back (to the UK)?”

British military officials called for the two traitors to be imprisoned.

Former British Army chief General Lord Richard Dannatt previously said: “That British citizens are so extraordinarily misguided in fighting for Vladimir Putin is deeply disappointing.

“If they return to this country, they should be thoroughly investigated and possibly prosecuted.”

Former army commander Colonel Richard Kemp called the men “an absolute disgrace”.

“They are traitors who, on their return to the UK, should be arrested and imprisoned.”

Minnis has a history of violence, including racist attacks and beatings of homeless people, according to reports.

Russian citizenship is granted in the name of the Russian president.
