England fans heading to Euro 2024 are facing beer shortages in Cologne for the final group game against Slovenia – and it’s all thanks to Scottish fans!

Thirsty fans arriving in Cologne for England’s decisive Group C clash with Slovenia could be in for a shock, according to reports.

More than 50,000 England fans are believed to have descended on the Rhine-side town ahead of kick-off at the Cologne Stadium at 8pm tomorrow.

However, those looking to enjoy alcoholic beverages as part of their pre-match festivities might be disappointed.

According to a report in The Sun, a number of bars and pubs in the city are reporting alcohol shortages following Scotland’s clash with Switzerland last week.

A manager of an Irish bar in the city revealed that the Tartan Army had used up its entire supply.

England fans could face alcohol shortages in Cologne as they arrive for their final group stage clash against Slovenia.

Bars in the area are said to have been drained by Scottish fans in the city last week.

The Tartan Army traveled to Cologne for their 1-1 draw against Switzerland on Wednesday.

“The Scottish fans drank everything: beer, Guinness and vodka. Our cellar was empty. He revealed.

“It was the same in other bars, with record beer sales – even more than at the carnival.

“Now we are all trying to get more deliveries from the breweries to offer drinks to the England fans.”

Meanwhile, a member of staff at a nearby establishment revealed they too were frantically trying to restock for new England supporters.

“The Scottish fans showed us how much they could drink.

“Our supplies are low and we need more beer so England fans don’t miss out.”

Although his side currently sit top of Group C, Gareth Southgate has faced criticism as England have failed to live up to their status as pre-tournament favorites so far.

After Gary Lineker described England’s performance in their 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday as “***”, Harry Kane hit back at the former player-turned-pundit’s criticism.

“I would never want to disrespect any player, especially a player who has worn the shirt and knows what it’s like to play for England,” Kane said.

“But former players who are experts now need to understand that it is very difficult not to listen to it now, especially for some players who are not used to it or for some players who are new to the environment.

“I still feel like they have a responsibility – I know they have to be honest and give their opinion, but they also have a responsibility being a former England player.

One vendor claimed record beer sales, even surpassing those at the town’s annual carnival.

Victory against Slovenia on Tuesday would see England face one of the third-placed teams to advance from their group into the last 16.

However, a draw against Matjaz Kek’s side could see the Three Lions finish second in Group C, setting up a clash with Germany in the first knockout stage.
