- However, major route threads are not resolved.
- The second season of “Paradise” arrives but has no release date.
Warning: to come and come for the first season “Paradise”.
The final of the “Paradise” season does not link all the loose sons of the plot, but Hulu confirmed in February that there would be a second season.
The political and post-apocalyptic thriller has not become a major streaming hit. However, he received praise from fans and criticisms and remained on the list of television programs of the top 15 of the Hulu Top 15 since his first in January.
The series opens with the death of the American president Cal Bradford (James Marsden) and follows Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), a widowed father of two children and the chief of the president, while he tries to find out who is responsible.
The other major mystery of the show is teasing at the end of the first of the season – after a disastrous tsunami, the remains of American civilization lived in a futuristic bunker in a mountain.
Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson), a technological billionaire, prepared for disaster by organizing a secret underground city to be built for some selected American citizens, with the help of other billionaires and the president.
Now Sinatra pulls the strings in the city of Bunker and seems to be Xavier’s greatest suspect for the murder of Cal. But in episode seven, she reveals to Xavier that the DNA of the killer does not correspond to that of anyone in the bunker.
Here is the end explained and what you need to know about season two.
A librarian with a resentment killed President Cal
Trent (Ian Merrigan) murdered President Cal after having blamed him for the disaster. Hulu
Before the final, Sinatra hides to the public that a bunker expedition group found human survivors.
She orders Billy (Jon Beavers), a security guard, to assassinate the expedition group and said to her girlfriend Jane (Nicole Brydon Bloom) to kill him after threatening her.
After the death of Billy, Xavier organizes a coup d’etat and confronts Sinatra with her suspicions that she is behind the death of Cal and Billy.
Sinatra turns the tables on him, ordering to jaine to kidnap Xavier’s daughter and to use information that Xavier’s wife, who was presumed to be dead in the tsunami, is alive to make him lower and force him to find the real killer.
Xavier’s investigations bring him to Trent (Ian Merrigan), librarian.
This can be a big surprise for viewers because it is not presented in the series. But before the disaster, Trent was project manager for the underground city and was dismissed after discovering the site produced toxic smoke which would slowly kill the people who worked there. He became conspiracy theorist and tried to assassinate President CAL during a press conference.
It was shown in a flashback earlier in the series, but at the time, Xavier Genoa and Trent was arrested.
Another flashback in the final of the season shows that Trent escapes prison when the disaster occurs and enters the bunker with an unknown woman, posing as a married couple he killed. This explains why Sinatra scientists do not have Trent’s DNA to link it to the crime.
Trent is waiting for years to kill the president because he loves life underground. But seeing the president, delighted his hatred for him and he embarks on Cal’s house to kill him with an iron rod.
Trent admits Xavier and tries to escape, but when the corner authorities are at the highest point of the bunker, he jumps at his death.
In season two of “Paradise”, Xavier will explore the world outside the bunker

Xavier discovers a book that led to sharing what he knew about the outside people in the event of a murder.
Xavier tells Sinatra that he found the killer, so she should let her daughter go. At this point, Jane claims to have killed Xavier’s daughter, then Sinatra tells her that she died.
But just before Xavier kills Sinatra in revenge, Jane enters and pulls Sinatra in the neck and tells him that her daughter is alive. Xavier fled and Jane told Sinatra that she did not kill her because she has uses for her.
Thus, the end of season two leaves three sons of the plot open for season two.
Jane, who was not exposed as a secret assassin of Sinatra, could arouse more problems with the help of Sinatra in order to grasp power.
There is also the son of Cal, Jeremy Bradford (Charlie Evans), who seems to become the head of the final of the final. In episode seven, he helps expose that there are living humans outside the bunker. This could lead to a power struggle in season two between people under Jeremy and the billionaires under Sinatra.
Finally, Xavier goes on a mission to understand the outside world and see if his wife is alive.
Season 2 of “Paradise” does not yet have a release date.

There is no report that season two has started to film, so new episodes will probably not be broadcast before at least 2026.
Dan Fogelman, the creator of the series, told Hollywood Reporter before the first of the season in January that he had already planned three seasons of “Paradise”.
“Without giving too much, each season of the show is a slightly different show, in the same show with the same characters,” he said. “While we are entering the second season, we pivot a little, but in a way that, I think, is very following. But yes, there are big movements.”
The casting will probably include actors of the first season, such as Brown, Nicholson and Evans, but it is not clear if Marsden will return as President Cal.
The first season of “Paradise” is available to broadcast on Hulu.
