Emma Roberts and her boyfriend of two years, actor Cody John, are engaged.
“Puttin’ this here before my mom tells everyone,” the 33-year-old actress cheekily captioned an Instagram photo announcing the news Tuesday, adding a red heart emoji.
In the selfie, Roberts smiles and raises her left hand near her face to show off her new jewelry: a large round diamond set on a gold band.
She had her other arm around John, who was also giving the camera a big smile.
Famous friends were quick to flood the comments section with congratulatory messages.
“Congratulations!!!!!!!,” Lindsay Lohan said.
“CONGRATULATIONS!!!” Ashley Tisdale wrote.
“Yessssss, congratulations honey,” Julianne Hough exclaimed.
News of the couple’s romance broke in August 2022 when John posted a photo of himself kissing Roberts.
Less than two months later, E! News reported that the “American Horror Story” star and her beau were “taking it slow” after mutual friends in the industry introduced them.
“Emma loves Cody’s personality,” a source said at the time. “He’s really funny and they have a great time together.”
Roberts, who shares 3-year-old son Rhodes with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, reportedly didn’t want to rush into another relationship for the sake of her child.
“Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people, but she knows that day will come soon,” the source explained.
Roberts and Hedlund, 39, split in late 2021 after nearly three years together.
“It’s sad, and they’re doing their best to co-parent their kids,” a source told People in January 2022. “It’s been difficult.”
Roberts was previously engaged to her “AHS” co-star Evan Peters, whom she dated on and off for seven years before calling it quits in March 2019.
