  • The 2025 Cannes Film Festival will take place between May 13 and 24.
  • This year, guests have received a updated dress code that prohibits nudity and dresses with long trains.
  • Emblematic dresses carried by Bella Hadid and other stars in the past have been transparent and radically.

I never thought to say that, but we need more “naked” dresses on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.

You know the style I’m talking about. They are adjusted, made with mesh and strongly lost in just The right areas.

My colleagues and I have been complaining for years that they have exceeded red carpets (at the French festival and elsewhere), but I take it all now that they have been banned from Cannes.

A new clothing code for this year’s event, which takes place until May 24, prohibits nudity “for reasons of decency”. The film festival has also put an end to excessively bulky voluminous trains that make it difficult for others to walk on the red carpet or sit in theaters.

Obviously, we did not appreciate what we had when we had it.

So, while we mourn the loss of these dramatic fashion staples, here is an overview of the daring outfits of the old rods of canes which would probably not be authorized on the red carpet in 2025.

The gray dress from Eva Longoria to the 2015 Cannes Film Festival showed a lot of skin.

Although the Gabriela Cadena room is seemed to be conservative of the front with its solid gray fabric, it was in fact entirely transparent on its sides.

Only clusters of silver spare and transparent mesh sat at the top of his legs, hips and torso. Although this worked then, partial nudity may not fly during this year’s event.

Kendall Jenner put a daring touch in fashion in 2016.

Roberto Cavalli designed Jenner’s black dress, which might not pass security to Cannes today.

The long -sleeved room, made from mesh, has shown most of its body. It only wore high-waisted underwear below.

A snake impression and light glitter made the dress even more dramatic.

Everyone remembers the appearance of the model in 2018 in a issue of Schiaparelli White.

That year, she abandoned a bra when she wore her tulle dress, which showed her chest with transparent straps that acted like a summit.

His long and several level skirt was also transparent and voluminous, but not enough to hinder other people who walk on the red carpet.

Deepika Padukone covered Cannes stairs with a massive train in 2019.

Each thumb of the actor’s Peter Dundas dress was dramatic that year.

He had giant whimsical sleeves, an arc that stretched in front of his chest, and a skirt train that was so long that he covered many steps behind her.

The dress was the definition of voluminous, especially because it needed at least two people to help it go up the stairs.

Ngoc Trinh, on the other hand, mainly wore a leotard that year.

The model has traveled the red cane carpet in a black number of á»— á»— á»— long. It was made from mesh and therefore fully transparent.

It was also cut in a daring style. The outfit included a licou high without back, a cutting of lock hole in the chest, one bottom in thong and two thin strips of fabric instead of a skirt.

Bella Hadid made a choice of bold accessories in 2021 which could break certain current rules.

Hadid wore an ordinary black dress in Cannes in 2021.

However, her long -sleeved schiaparelli dress was daring with a cut neckline that plunged to her waist.

The model also wore a golden -shaped golden necklace to cover its chest. Although it is not technically naked, bringing the same pieces during the 2025 event would be risky.

Farhana Bodi brought a ton of ruffles to Cannes that year.

The television star was a touch of vibrant color on the red carpet thanks to her yellow dress without straps. It was made of tulle in ruffles which extended in a long thick train.

Because skirt parts have since been banned, there is a chance that Bodi cannot wear the same dress at this year’s event.

The model wore a simple thong under a sleeveless look made from crystal strings, which showed his body.

To complete the look, Depina sported transparent sandals and delicate jewelry.

Didi Stone was one of the best dressed stars last year, but one of his dresses may not slip into 2025.

For a red carpet, the French model wore a black Stéphane Rolland dress. He was made with a thick black fabric that was dragging around his head and hips in a circle and at the bottom of his legs in a skirt.

What made the whole even more daring are the rope necklaces in layers that she wore at the top. It was bold enough to possibly break this year’s dress code.

Saint Laurent created the Licou Brown dress she wore last year, which was almost entirely transparent. Only its size and hips were wrapped in additional fabric to create a more opaque look.

It was perhaps not Hadid’s most dramatic look on the film festival, but it was one of his most transparent.

Mean Sonyta wore one of the longest trains in the history of Cannes last year.

The actor and model wrote on Instagram at the time that she wanted her cane outfit to honor Cambodian fashion.

So she hit the brand of creators of Elegance to create her strapless dress, her matching hat and her vast green train. It was so long, however, that similar trains could not be authorized during festivals of future canes.
