LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA – OCTOBER 26: SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk awards Judey Kamora with … (+)
Elon Musk’s saga of secretly buffing Diablo 4 and/or Path of Exile 2 characters may be over, as he outright admitted he did it, while possibly using silver trading real for material.
In a new video going straight through DMs with Elon Musk, YouTuber NikoWrex said he was allowed to share what he said about his gaming prowess, or lack thereof. The video, heavily criticized for pandering to Elon’s tactics, goes over the following:
Niko: “Have you already leveled up (has anyone else played on your accounts) and/or purchased gear/resources for PoE2 and Diablo 4?”
Musk: “(100 Emoji) It’s impossible to beat players in Asia if you don’t.”
Niko: “Regarding Poe2, was it your intention to take all the credit for upgrading your HC (hardcore) characters?”
Musk: “No, I never claimed that. The best Diablo or PoE accounts require multiple people to play on the account to win a leveling race.
Musk goes on to say on his streams that he’s at least the one playing, while admitting that with, say, a monk as strong as his, high-level gameplay is like “Cookie Clicker” (with a monk similar, I can attest). that). He was also asked if he would “apologize to the Poe2 community”, to which he replied “What should I apologize for?” »
Path of Exile 2
So I mean, this confirms what we already knew, given that it was almost impossible to get his characters and rank that high without someone boosting him or buying top gear. He says everyone does it and he wasn’t trying to take credit for it, but he’s clearly positioning himself as projecting that he’s one of the best players in the world with these characters.
It’s just a weird situation that one of the most powerful people in the world cares enough about acting like a top player to pay for boost and gear and show these characters to millions of people on streaming . When asked if he would do a stream with real main creators of PoE2, he said he would be busy preparing for the presidential transition, emphasizing how bizarre it all was.
Will I stop covering Elon Musk’s gaming habits from here? At least until something absurd happens, because yes, I think it’s relevant to the industry that one of the most powerful people in the world is a player and she’s lying or misleading apparently misled people about his prowess. I suspect more strange situations like this will follow, regardless of whether he’s supposedly busy co-governing the United States with Trump or not.
