Ellen DeGeneres cancels four stand-up shows

Ellen DeGeneres has canceled four of her Ellen’s Last Fight… comedy shows this week after starting his tour in June.

Shows scheduled for July and August in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago have been canceled, according to an announcement on Ticketmaster’s website.

“Unfortunately, the event organizer has had to cancel your event,” the company said in a statement on the site. “There is nothing you need to do. We will process a refund to the payment method used at the time of purchase as soon as the funds are received from the event organizer. The refund should appear in your account within 14 to 21 days.”

Representatives for DeGeneres did not immediately respond. The Hollywood Reporter for comment.

Aside from Dallas, where she had only scheduled one concert, DeGeneres will also perform in San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago.

Ellen’s Last Fight… is the comedian’s first touring show since her eponymous talk show ended in 2022, which came after she faced allegations of a toxic workplace in the summer of 2020. Previously, DeGeneres announced that she would release a second and final Netflix special before the end of this year. The comedian’s 2018 Netflix special, Relatablewas the first in a series of two special deals with Netflix.

During an early performance of the show in Los Angeles, she joked about the controversy surrounding the toxic workplace and said she was “kicked out of show business” for being “mean.”

According to a report by SFG PortalThe comedian repeated the same joke during a show in Santa Rosa this week, adding: “I’m a lot of things, but I’m not evil.”
