Elle Brooke brutally drops Paige VanZant but Misfits Boxing fight ends in a draw
OnlyFans star Elle Brooke sent UFC veteran Paige VanZant crashing to the canvas in the opening stanza en route to a split draw.
VanZant entered the Misfits Boxing 15 main event on Saturday night as the heavy favorite, but was forced to work against her novice foe.
From the start, VanZant looked to stay and move while Brooke stalked her opponent, hoping to drag her into a war.
Towards the end of the round, PVZ began to hold her feet and was hit by a vicious right hook that had her sitting down.
VanZant recovered and fought back well, but Brooke still stayed in the fight as the cross-match headed to the scorecards.
One judge gave it to Brooke 48-46, a second official gave it 48-46 for VanZant and the third had it 47-47 as the contest was declared a draw.
As a result, Brooke retains her Misfits Boxing middleweight title and the two are now expected to reclaim it in the not-so-distant future.
Both women seemed visibly disappointed with the result, but neither cried foul.
“It’s one of those things where you have to revisit it,” Brooke said of the decision.
“Because in there you get hit, but you also hit.
“I don’t think I have enough experience to think ‘Yeah, I win 100 percent’
“But with the upset, I saw myself winning but I have to get back to it.
“I was just telling Paige, ‘We’ll have a big rematch! It’s perfect!'”
VanZant, who was making his boxing debut, added: “Honestly, I said it was going to be a tough fight all camp.
“I knew how tough she was. I accepted the fight for a reason. I was excited. I watched her past fights.
“I knew it would be difficult. It is what it is. It sets up a perfect revenge.
“I signed a multi-fight contract for a reason. Looks like we’re going to do it one more time, I think in Dubai it looks like.
